HSBC Sevens World Series
Amayse paint the way to Rio
The HSBC Sevens World Series kicked off on the 3rd December 2015 in Dubai as the Sevens series starts its countdown to the Olympics in Rio next year. With the Olympics in sight, there are more eyes than normal on the Sevens scene with anticipation as to which 15s players might make it in the 7s game, and who could be contenders for medals. Amayse have been tasked to paint 3D pitch logos at all 10 venues worldwide, and up to 10 logos per venue.
Firstly, we plot out the area to be painted on the Monday before the event. Tuesday and Wednesday are for painting the logos, with the competition kicking off on the Thursday, extra touch ups are made through the nights to ensure the colour stays crisp and bright during three days of intense Sevens rugby. Our own ‘Sevens’ side consisted of a team from the Amayse UK office, working closely with our licensees around the world. They were deployed to each event with our specialist paint and plotting equipment being shipped out as well. Not to forget the team of artworkers in the UK supporting the teams on the ground.
The hard work and attention to detail that Amayse deliver created fantastic brand stand-out for both the competition and sponsors’ logos. With so much action taking place across the three days of rugby, it takes a huge amount of work to ensure the logos remain looking pristine, which they did. Logos looked incredible on screen and client feedback was extremely positive.
