We helped to cheer up London on a drab Monday morning commute with 250m of our printed carpet for the ‘Spark Your City’ campaign.
‘Spark Your City’ is a global movement ‘dedicated to spark joy in everyday city life’; it aims to transform cities into ‘living playgrounds’ and links 50 cities across the world with 1,000 events.
Amayse printed carpets were used at the two London events in London Bridge and Waterloo. At London Bridge, we carpeted the whole of the pavement across the bridge, an idea led by BBC One presenter Gemma Cairney, who handed out flowers to commuters to help cheer up their morning.
At Waterloo, a kaleidoscope was created in the Sutton Walk underpass. The vibrant colours of our printed carpets displayed a jungle pattern which was then reflected in a ceiling of mirrors to produce a stunning effect and a very memorable experience for the people walking through on their way to work.
Although these were only used for a day, the footfall was heavy and being outdoors the material needed to cope with all weathers – maintaining the visual quality and being safe for those walking on them.
Greg Craigen, Managing Director UK, Amayse said “We produce printed carpets for a wide range of events, exhibitions, PR and fashion shows. We produce these carpets to any size and can incorporate complicated colours and shading to ensure the brand really stands out. A printed carpet really is the icing on the cake for any event and creating a fully immersive experience for guests.”
We have a range of different carpet and flooring materials that we can recommend based on the level of footfall, duration of the event and the colour definition required.
