Packaging

• Each carpet is rolled and folded to maximise the freight space and is wrapped in protective plastic.
• When removing the protective wrapping, avoid using sharp objects or blades that might accidentally damage the product.
• Once taken out of the protective wrapping, it is possible that the carpet shows some folding marks. These normally disappear on the first use, by simply laying the carpet flat, and their persistence largely depends on air temperature. In warmer environments, the process will be faster.

 

Carrying a 3D CamCarpet

• We recommend carrying the 3D CamCarpet with a wheeled trolley. Where this is not possible, and due to the large size of the product, the carpet should be handled by two people.
• We would advise getting a plastic tube for each carpet to be rolled onto,
  facilitating easier future handling and storage of the product.

Where to place the 3D CamCarpet

• Amayse 3D CamCarpets are designed and cut to your venue’s specifications and are ready for use.
• You should follow the precise measurements provided in the enclosed Installation Manual. These measurements will instruct on how to measure in relation to the goalposts and the goal line, as well as offering a visual reference for how the product should look from the main TV camera position.
• It is vital to follow the measurements on the Installation Manual to get the correct 3D effect and we recommend double-checking the final result from the main TV camera angle.

 

3D CamCarpet and grass

• We recommend carrying the 3D CamCarpet with a wheeled trolley. Where this is not possible, and due to the large size of the product, the carpet should be handled by two people.
• To minimise the risk of ‘grass burns’ we recommend installing the carpet as close as possible to the start of the match and removing it as soon as possible afterwards.
• When the installation needs to happen well in advance of kick-off, the carpet can be rolled up in place to minimise the covered area and then simply rolled out when needed before the match starts.

 

3D CamCarpets and weather conditions

• The product is designed to withstand most weather conditions.
• The same holes that facilitate turf breathability are designed to offer optimal drainage and avoid reflections caused by LED boards and floodlights on standing water.
• In severe weather conditions, the wind may cause the carpets to partially flip over. In this case, the carpets can be sprinkled with water before the match to increase its overall weight. The carpet must be stored dry, so consider doing this after reading the sections about storage and cleaning.
• Ground pegs may be used to keep the carpet in place if it’s deemed necessary. Please pay extra care to the integrity of the product when applying and removing the pegs.

Rolling the carpet for storage

• The best way to store a carpet is to roll it diagonally onto a plastic tube.
• To remove dirt and small objects, simply shake the carpet or use a vacuum cleaner. If these methods are not sufficient you can use a broom or a brush with soft bristles, but only if the carpet is dry.
• Remove all ground pegs carefully, if used, before the carpet is lifted.

 

Before rolling the carpet for storage

• The best way to store a carpet is to roll it diagonally onto a plastic tube.
• Do not fold.
• Store in a dry place, away from direct sunlight.
• When stored, do not place heavy items on the carpet as these may create pressure marks.

 

Storing a wet carpet

• The product must be completely dry before storage. Rolling a wet carpet might cause the formation of mould and could damage the colours.
• A wet carpet should be taken off the pitch and dried by lying on a flat surface or by hanging over surfaces that won’t cause creases, stretches or pressure marks.
• Only when the carpet is dry it can be cleaned with a broom or a brush with soft bristle.

 

When the carpet is heavily soiled

• Please follow the instructions in the next section ‘How to clean a 3D CamCarpet’ before undertaking any cleaning procedure.

Only clean a 3D CamCarpet when necessary

• Minimal cleaning will extend the life of your carpet and keep the colours at their best.
• When wet, the ink is more susceptible to wear, so avoid cleaning or sweeping the carpet until it’s dry.

 

The recommended method to clean a carpet

• Simply sweeping the carpet when it is dry is the best way to clean it.
• Use a broom or a brush with soft bristle only and place the carpet on a flat and even surface to minimize irregular mechanical wear.

 

If the carpet is heavily soiled

• The most suitable method is to rinse the carpet by simply using a water hose with a spray nozzle at a distance of 30-100 cm.
• • • Hang the carpet over surfaces such as handrails or balustrades to enable water and dirt to run off.
    • Using a water hose with a spray nozzle, gently wash out any remaining dirt from the carpet.
    • Avoid any rubbing action when the carpet is wet.
    • Let the carpet hang until completely dry. Only then the carpet can be rolled up for storage.
• In hot weather, normally above 20 C degrees, we recommend drying the 3D CamCarpet away from direct sunlight.

 

Carpet cleaners and detergents

• We recommend avoiding the use of detergents and any machinery unless it’s strictly necessary. This may cause the quality of the print to deteriorate, especially when the carpet is wet.
• When the use of detergents, alone or in combination with carpet cleaning machines is deemed necessary, make sure that all detergents are thoroughly washed out before drying.

 

Attention

• Do not use aggressive detergents under any circumstances.
• Do not clean the carpet with high water pressure.
