For the elite football clubs, summer tours have become a commercial ‘must’ and, often, develop across continents.
That’s why it’s important for us to help clients plan their stadium branding and deliver the highest quality sports advertising solutions in record times wherever in the world they need to be.
Some people still call them ‘friendlies’, but there’s no such thing as a ‘friendly’ match at the highest level of football anymore. The International Champions Cup 2019 saw the Madrid derby, Juventus vs Inter Milan and Tottenham vs Manchester United, matches that – no matter the circumstances – will always be played for a win.
The pre-season preparation has to balance players’ fitness with the necessity for clubs to grow their global reach, engage new audiences with an attractive proposition and bring sponsors into the limelight. Summer matches are, therefore, no less ambitious and complicated to pull together than any other big event, with lots of moving parts, logistical challenges and expectations to meet.
Unmatched delivery services
When clients choose Amayse for their stadium branding, they feel reassured that there is no need to compromise on quality in order to meet their deadlines and deliver their football stadium signs in time.
For us, being able to provide the highest stadium branding standards that these events deserve means focusing beyond the object of print and understanding the importance of all the processes and the decisions beforehand: venue surveys, graphic design and choice of materials, stretching to pre and post-sales service. We don’t take shortcuts and we support our clients throughout the process.
“The only thing we cut down is the delivery time. We keep a seamless service thanks to our partnerships with worldwide logistics leaders and our expertise in dealing with the most challenging customs.”
Sejer Aagaard, Head of International Sales & Marketing
International Champions Cup and other summer events
This year, after a successful 2018 edition we continued to deliver our goal-side 3D mats for the International Champions Cup, held in sold-out world-class sports venues across the United States.
Looking at the top-tier sponsors on the American leg of the competition, Bud Light stood out with their ‘snackable’ use of digital highlights that integrated beautifully with our 3D CamCarpets™

It was great to see Audi accompanying our long-standing client Bayern Munich in their American Summer Tour and using our 3D goal-side mats for their standout advertising inventory.
And we were pleased that the likes of Ally Financial extended their sponsorship deal with the International Champions Cup – brilliantly activated on social media through their #OwnTheSave campaign – as part of their wider support for ‘soccer’ in the US that now sees them backing an MLS franchise in Charlotte.
Jumping from the States to the other side of the Pacific Ocean, the newly-born Rakuten Cup in Japan, saw FC Barcelona nurturing their global partnership with the e-commerce giant through a short series of matches with Chelsea FC and Vissel Kobe, the J.League team fielding former Barcelona stars Andrés Iniesta, David Villa and Sergi Samper.
Perfect activation and storytelling between sponsor and rights holder and what a ‘goal carpet’ from Amayse! FC Barcelona’s goal wasn’t bad either…

Quality print and fast, reliable delivery aren’t the only factors that provide peace-of-mind to our clients. Over twenty years of experience in delivering 3D sports advertising globally has given us a unique and extensive knowledge of venues, their facilities and their technical challenges. In this sense, adding our experience to the thorough surveying process is fundamental to producing a realistic and impactful 3D effect for the TV audience. When the conditions change we act promptly, making sure in advance that everything is perfect, so rights holders can meet their commercial partners’ expectations.
We have all angles covered
Amongst our extensive offering in football, we have recently developed BackAds Freestanding, a uniquely designed cut-out board that can be placed behind the goal to complement the 3D mats. It’s extremely light and easy to handle for the ground team, but it withstands any weather conditions.
We saw it in Singapore for Juventus vs Inter Milan and it worked really well, giving the sponsor visibility through different camera angles.
